Mr. Ernest Volpe, 56, of Hopedale MA died unexpectedly on January 2, 20024 at his residence.
Ernie was born in Framingham MA, the son of the late Richard L. Volpe Sr. and the late Mary J. (Tetlow) Volpe.
He attended Hopedale public schools, graduating from Hopedale High School, Class of 1985. He also attended Bryant College and Dean Junior College.
Ernie had been employed for over thirty years as a maintenance specialist by the Hopedale Foundation at the Hopedale Community House.
Ernie was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and an avid bowler. He also liked to attend live concerts, especially with his favorite band, “Rush”. He was also a constant companion & supporter to Peter Stock.
Ernie is survived by his 2 sisters: Mary Jo Volpe of Hopedale MA and Theresa Greene, wife of Brian Greene of Coventry RI; also his 2 aunts: Joanne Volpe of Whitinsville MA and Raffi Volpe of Milford MA.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his Graveside Committal Service on SATURDAY (March 16th) at 2:00PM at Hopedale Village Cemetery. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
