Gail Marie (Moore) Volpe

Mrs. Gail Marie (Moore) Volpe. 81, of Milford MA sadly left us peacefully at home, under hospice care on Wednesday (March 1, 2023)

Gail was born in Framingham MA. Aside from Milford MA, she considered Old Orchard Beach, ME her second home where she summered every year. After graduating from high school, she attended Beauty School and graduated with a hairdresser’s license.

After a long career as a stylist, Gail became a crossing guard for the Town of Milford and later went on to retire in order to spend more time with her family, as well as more time in Maine.

Gail had a passion for antiques, decorating her home, and reading books. She was also a fan of snacking…..mostly chocolate…….and her favorite Kitty “D”. She was also an avid fan of New England Patriots and the other Boston sports teams. Her favorite past time was spending time with her beloved family members, especially her children; her grandchildren & her great grandchildren.

Gail married Vincent A. Volpe in July of 1961 and went on to have 5 children. She and her husband were married for 59 years, up until Vincent passed away in 2020.

Gail had an incredible friendly demeanor and was loved by all that knew her. Her sweet personality, sense of humor and smile were infectious to all that she came in contact with.

Gail was preceded in death by her beloved husband Vincent A. Volpe, by her father Fred Moore, her Step-Mother Fay Moore and brothers Brian Moore and Glen Moore.

Gail is survived by her son: Vincent M. Volpe of Milford MA, her daughter Marie Raucci and her husband Michael of Webster MA, her daughter Gayle Bufalo of Milford MA, her daughter Bonnie Walker and her husband Dwight of Plymouth MA, her son Anthony Volpe of Milford MA, and her brothers Marty Moore & Gary Moore of Maine.

Gail, better known as “Nana”, will be missed by her grandchildren Alyssa Salvucci, Craig Adamson, Joseph Adamson, Anthony Raucci, Matthew Bufalo, Sarah Bufalo and Luca Volpe. She will also be missed by her great grandchildren Charlotte Salvucci, Maren Salvucci, Evelyn Adamson, McKenna Adamson and soon to be “Baby Boy Bufalo”.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday (March 8th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (UPPER CHURCH), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday (March 7th) from 5pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
