Girard Eugene Gosselin

Mr. Girard E. Gosselin, 82, of Milford MA died Thursday (August 15, 2024) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Catherine G. (Gareri) Gosselin and the devoted husband of the late Rosemarie A. (LaGuardia) Gosselin, who died in 1988.

Gerry was born in Woonsocket RI, the son of the late Eugene Gosselin and the late Olda (Bertrand) Gosselin. He attended St. Anne’s parochial schools in Woonsocket RI.

Gerry had been employed at St. Mary of the Assumption Church and at St. Mary’s Cemetery, located in Milford MA, for 34 years. He assisted in the maintenance of all the church properties and had served as superintendent of the cemetery.

Gerry had been a longtime resident of Milford MA and a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. He was also a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus Valencia Council at St. Mary of the Assumption Church.

Gerry was an avid NE Patriots fan, but his favorite past time was spending time with his beloved wife & family.

Along with his beloved wife of 28 years, he is survived by his daughter: Lisa Sykes of Woonsocket RI; his granddaughter: Justine Marie Trahan of Woonsocket RI; his great grandchildren: Anthony Trahan & Aalena Trahan of Woonsocket RI.

Gerry was the brother of the late Therese LaForte.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on WEDNESDAY (August 28th) at 11:00AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial of his cremains will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
