Gloria C. (Cerveny) Falcone

Mrs. Gloria C. (Cerveny) Falcone, 92, of Holliston MA died peacefully on Wednesday (September 7, 2022) at her residence after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late James F. Falcone, who died in 2005.

Gloria was born in Springfield MA, the daughter of the late Frank C. Cerveny and the late Julia V. (Kulig) Cerveny. She was a graduate of Classical High School in Springfield MA and also a graduate of the Springfield Hospital School of Nursing.

Gloria had been a resident of Springfield MA until 1966, when she moved to Holliston MA. She had been employed as an operating room nurse at the Springfield Hospital until 1966, and then employed as an operating room nurse at the former Framingham Union Hospital from 1966 to 1990.

Gloria loved to knit, was an avid reader and also loved to travel. She was a longtime active member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Milford MA.

Gloria is survived by her 2 daughters: June Jones and her husband Lawrence Jones of Milford MA & Carol Falcone and her companion Daryl Hamel of Dalton MA; her 2 grandsons; James Jones of Milford MA & William Jones and his wife Melissa of Nashua NH; her great granddaughter: Madison Jones of Nashua NH; her brother: Rt. Rev. Frank S. Cerveny of Jacksonville FL; also several nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. A Celebration of her Life with Eucharistic Service will be held at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 17 Congress Street, Milford MA on SATURDAY  October 22nd at 1PM. A Private Committal Service of her cremains will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visiting hours.
