Jacqueline Ryan Obituary

Mrs. Jacqueline M. (Wooding) Ryan, 80, of Uxbridge MA, died late Wednesday evening (October 3, 2018) at her residence surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

 

Mrs. Ryan was born in Boston MA, the daughter of the late Theodore F. and the late Gertrude E. (Colwill) Wooding. She attended Boston public schools as a young girl and later Westwood MA public school, graduating from Westwood High School, Class of 1956. She also attended Lowell State College.

 

Mrs. Ryan had been employed by the Town of Sterling MA from 1966 to 2002, which included her serving as Sterling Town Clerk for about six years.

 

Mrs. Ryan loved to read and do crossword puzzles in her spare time. She loved walking the beach whenever possible in Cocoa Beach FL. She also enjoyed spending time at the coast of Maine, especially at Long Sands Beach in York ME. But her favorite pastime was spending time with her children, her grandchildren & her brothers and sisters.

 

Mrs. Ryan is survived by her 4 beloved children; Thomas Ryan Jr. of Uxbridge MA, Michael P. Ryan and his wife Darcy of Utah, Kathleen G. Ryan of Cape Canaveral FL and Margaret E. Ryan and her husband Steven of New York City NY;       10 grandchildren: Thomas W. Ryan III, Rebecca Rae, Courtney E. Ryan, Katrina Carroll, Michael Ryan II, Collette Ryan, Heather Marie Lindsey, Jamie Lynn Lindsey, Eleanor Ryan Evangelista and Penelope Ryan Evangelista; 7 great grandchildren: Austynn E. Young, Anya Ayyash, Benjamin Ayyash, Brianna Quinoez, Kristifer Quinoez, Orrin Ryan-Cordoba and Jaxon Utley; 2 sisters: Barbara McKay of Illinois and Elaine, wife of Alan Cameron of Mendon MA; 5 brothers: Theodore F. Wooding of Wrentham MA, Robert Wooding and his wife Nancy of Douglas MA, Stephen Wooding and his wife Karen of Berlin NH, Douglas Wooding of Wrentham MA and Kevin Wooding of Providence RI; also many nieces & nephews.

 

Mrs. Ryan was the sister of the late Dorothy A. Richards, the late Patricia M. Beksha and the late Alan J. Wooding.

 

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. A private scattering service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
