James H. Fitch

James H. Fitch, age 75, of South Yarmouth MA, formerly of Milford MA, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on June 15, 2022 at Cape Cod Hospital. He was the husband of Sheila (Ciavattoni) Fitch.

Originally from Hopedale and a graduate of Hopedale Jr./Sr. High School class of 1964, he was the son of the late Howard G. Fitch and the late Jean (Robson) Fitch. He was the owner of Glass World of Milford, for over 30 years. He was also a member of the Hoboken Citizens Club and a former member of the Rotary Club of Milford. James and Sheila retired to the Cape in 2012. He enjoyed fishing and cooking, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Besides his wife of 54 years, he is survived by his children Kristin Pyne and husband David of Milford MA; James P Fitch of Hopedale MA; grandchildren David Jr., Austin and Kevin Pyne of Milford MA, and Bianca, Frances, and Shelby Fitch of Hopedale MA. He is also survived by his sister Linda Swift, and her husband Greg of Sun City West, AZ. James was also predeceased by his brother, John (Rick) Fitch in 2013.

His Funeral will be held on Monday (June 20th)  at 9am from the Edward’s Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress St., Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (Upper Church) 7 East Main St. Milford MA. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA.

Calling hours will be at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street in Milford MA, on Sunday (June 19th) from 5pm to 8pm.
