Joan Frances (Agostini) Tessicini

Mrs. Joan F. (Agostini) Tessicini, 83, of Milford MA died Friday evening (February 28, 2025) at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was the beloved wife of Bernard J. Tessicini.  

Joan was born in Framingham MA, the daughter of the late Louis Agostini and the late Catherine F. (Sheridan) Agostini. She attended Framingham public schools, graduating from Framingham High School, Class of 1960. Later in life she attended & completed certification at The American Institute of Banking.

Joan was first employed as a young woman at Waters Associates located in Framingham MA, primarily working in the human resources department. Years later, after raising her family, Joan returned to work as a teacher’s aide working in the Milford public school system.

Following that Joan was employed for several years in the retail industry working as an office administrator. She then entered the high tech field working at Clear Point where she served as their human resources benefits coordinator. Following that she was employed as an office administrator for FDIC and as a pharmacy technician at the former Lincoln Drug Store located in Milford MA. Lastly, prior to her retirement, she was employed as office editor at the Little Green Phonebook Company located in Holliston MA.

Joan had been a resident of Milford MA for the past 60 years and was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford MA. She loved to play bocce & all kinds of card games with her many friends & family. She also loved participating in her bowling league. She also loved rug hooking and going shopping & out to lunch. She also loved her workouts at the gym with her lady friends. But her favorite past time was spending time with her beloved family members & friends, planning the Sunday dinners with family; entertaining during the Holidays and the many family & neighborhood reunions.

Joan also loved her summer family vacations at the Silver Sands in Dennis MA and her family beach weekends at Nantasket Beach in Hull MA.

Along with her beloved husband of 60 years, she is survived by her 2 daughters: Kelli LaBastie and her husband Dan LaBastie Jr. of Mendon MA and Leslie Giles and her husband Michael Giles of East Sandwich MA; her 4 grandchildren: Danielle LaBastie of Watertown MA, Austin LaBastie and his wife Michelle of South Boston MA, Brian Giles of East Sandwich MA and Cameron Giles of East Sandwich MA; her sister-in-law: Eileen Agostini of Marshfield MA; her brother-in-law: John Tessicini and his wife Alice of Milford MA; several nieces & nephews; and her “grandpups” Minnie Giles & Odie LaBastie.

Joan was the sister of the late Eugene Agostini and his late wife Elizabeth Agostini; the sister of the late Richard Agostini; and the sister-in-law of the late Marilyn (Tessicini) Brewster.

Her funeral will be held Friday (March 7th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Friday (March 7th) from 9:30am to 10:30am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, prior to her Funeral Mass.
