Mr. John J. Duridas, 72, of Milford MA died late Tuesday evening (November 8, 2022) at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Theresa A. ((Brandin) Duridas and the late Julianne (Mazzini) Duridas, who died in 2004.
John was born in Milford MA, the son of the late John Duridas and the late Louise M. (Miller) Duridas. He attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1968. He then attended St. Anselm’s College and was a graduate of Central New England College.
John was first employed as a part-owner of Century 21 – AAA Realty located in Milford MA, as well as a co-principal in the Whitewood Development Corporation. He later owned & operated his own construction & development companies in the greater Milford area.
John was an avid car guy, especially when it came to muscle cars. He also loved to work with heavy machinery in conjunction with his occupation. But his favorite past time was spending time with his beloved family members.
Along with his beloved wife, he is survived by his 4 children: Alex Duridas of Milford MA, Aaron Duridas and his longtime companion Casey Young of Hopedale MA, Leah Duridas of Providence RI and Jaclyn Worsley and her husband Thomas Worsley of East Greenwich RI; his 2 step-children: Nicola Coolberth and her husband David Lauricella of Provincetown MA and Jacob Coolberth and his wife Mariangela of Ashland MA; his 3 grandchildren: Jacob Coolberth, Sebastian Coolberth & Lena Coolberth of Ashland MA; his sister: Jeanne Amato and her husband James Amato of Portsmouth NH; also several nieces & nephews.
His funeral will be held Monday (November 14th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Sunday (November 13th) from 3pm to 5pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
