Mr. Joseph L. Creamer, 83, of Milford MA died Tuesday (August 22, 2023) at the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie R. (Giancola) Creamer who died in 2013.
Joseph was born in Milford MA, the son of the late George Creamer and the late Lillian (Hannigan) Creamer. He was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1957.
Joseph was a US Navy veteran having served from 1958 to 1962 and was stationed aboard the USS Forrestal.
Following his service in the US Navy he was first employed as a young man at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale MA. He then was employed for 25 years as an assembler at the General Motors Assembly Plant located in Framingham MA. Upon his formal retirement from General Motors he was employed at the Big D Supermarket in Milford, where he worked as a custodian. He later worked as a custodian at the Our Lady of the Valley Grammar School in Uxbridge MA and then at the United Parish in Upton MA.
Joseph took great pride in taking care of his residence, both inside & out. He also was an avid reader, loved to do crossword puzzles and was an avid NE Patriots fan. But his favorite past time was spending time with his beloved family members.
Joseph is survived by his 2 daughters: Michele Creamer of Milford MA and Debbie Erickson of Milford MA; his 2 granddaughters: Katie Erickson & McKenzie Erickson of Milford MA; his brother-in-law & sister-in-law: Norman & Carol Lindsay of Northborough MA; also several nieces & nephews.
Joseph was the brother of the late George Creamer; the late Barbara Rostanzo; and the late Jean DelSignore. He was also the father-in-law of the late Todd Erickson.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday (August 26th) at 12 NOON at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford. A visiting hour will be held Saturday morning from 11am to 12 NOON, prior to his Funeral Services.
