Joseph was a US Navy veteran having served from 1958 to 1962 and was stationed aboard the USS Forrestal.
Following his service in the US Navy he was first employed as a young man at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale MA. Upon his formal retirement from General Motors he was employed at the Big D Supermarket in Milford, where he worked as a custodian. He later worked as a custodian at the Our Lady of the Valley Grammar School in Uxbridge MA and then at the United Parish in Upton MA.
Joseph took great pride in taking care of his residence, both inside & out. He also was an avid reader, loved to do crossword puzzles and was an avid NE Patriots fan. But his favorite past time was spending time with his beloved family members.
