Mrs. Josephine T. (Carrick) Baldwin, 86, of Hopedale MA died Thursday (April 14, 2022) at Genesis-Milford Center after a period of declining health.
Josephine was born in Blacksburg VA, the daughter of the late John J. Carrick and the late Christina (Noonan) Carrick. She attended school in Blacksburg VA as a young girl, graduating from high school.
Josephine had been a resident of Milford MA and Hopedale MA since 2005. She was first employed at Dennison Manufacturing Company located in Framingham MA. Following that she had been employed at the former Archer Rubber Company located in Milford MA, and retired from the former Foster-Forbes Company located in Milford MA.
Josephine loved playing cards, especially poker and gin rummy. She was also an avid reader and was an avid college football fan, especially the VA Tech football program and was always aware of the football rankings & records. But her favorite past-time was spending time with her family members, especially her children, her grandchildren & her great grandchildren.
Josephine is survived by her 4 children: Teresa M. Gonsalves and her husband Anthony of Milford MA, Denise F. Brown of Grosvenordale CT, Daniel J. Baldwin of Worcester MA and Elizabeth A. Baldwin of Providence RI; her grandchildren: Nicole C. DeJesus & Edward DeJesus of Grosvenordale CT, Nathaniel J. Cruz & Sarah Cruz of Milford MA, Erin C. Cheschi of Johnston RI, Amy M. Gonsalves and Tyrone Barlosky of Milford MA, Ashlye H. Brennan & R. Zachary Brennan of Winthrop MA and Savanna M. Andujar & Joseph Andujar of Worcester MA; her great grandchildren: Javier A. DeJesus, Cristian G. DeJesus, Edward D. DeJesus, Isabella M. Cruz, Jack A. Cruz, Caleb G. Cruz, Luciana G. Cruz, Sophia J. Cruz, Brendan M. Cruz, Isaiah J. Cruz, Asher F. Mouser-Cheschi, Kalli J. Brennan, Wyatt P. Brennan, Finley H. Brennan, Layne J. Andujar, Montana N. Andujar, Summer D. Andujar, Kayla J. Andujar and Gavin R. Andujar; also many nieces & nephews.
Josephine was the mother of the late Paul J. Baldwin, who died in 2006.
In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. A Private Graveside Committal Service will be held in Hopedale Village Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
