Julia Louise (George) Ventura

Mrs. Julia L. (George) Ventura, 85, of Hopedale MA died Tuesday (August 1, 2023) at her residence after an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony L. Ventura, who died in 2005.

Julia was born in Cambridge MA, the daughter of the late Francis George and the late Julia (Chicariello) George. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Cambridge MA, Class of 1956.

Julia was first employed as a young woman at Polaroid Corporation. She later worked for many years as a contract administrator at CIBA-Corning Corporation.

Julia had been a resident of Hopedale MA since 2016, and prior to that had resided in Sunrise FL from 2003 to 2016. Prior to that she had resided in Natick MA for many years and had been a longtime communicant of St. Zephyr’s Church in Cochituate MA.

Julia was a movie buff and also a skilled baker. She also loved to crochet. She was also a longtime supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Julia is survived by her son: Anthony L. Ventura Jr. and his wife Jennifer (Beccia) Ventura of Hopedale MA; her daughter: Julianna Davidson and her husband Malcolm Davidson of Austin TX; her grandchildren: Cassidy Ventura of Hopedale MA, Anthony Ventura of Milford MA, Brandon Ventura of Milford MA, Kristina Voutas and her husband Austin Moline of Elgin TX; her siblings: Frank George of Georgia, Richard George of Newburyport MA, Louis George of Pelham NH, Joey George of Tewksbury MA anf Paula George of Hyannis MA; also several nieces & nephews.

Julia was the sister of the late Mary Leeman and the late Theresa Cannata.

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
