Katherine A. (Grdinic) Witkowski

Mrs. Katherine A. (Grdinic) Witkowski, 94, of Woonsocket RI and formerly of Bellingham MA died Wednesday (December 28, 2022) at Friendly Home Nursing Facility in Woonsocket RI. She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin W. Witkowski Sr., who died in 2009.

Katherine was born in Chicago IL, the daughter of the late Jovo Grdinic and the late Alma (Bauzek) Grdinic. She attended public schools in Chicago IL, graduating from high school.

Katherine had been a resident of Bellingham MA for most of her life. She had been employed as a sales clerk at the former Zayre Department Store and the former Ames Department Store in Bellingham for many years.

Katherine was an avid reader; loved cross word puzzles; playing her lottery scratch tickets and crocheting dollies.

Katherine is survived by her 4 children: Edwin W. Witkowski Jr. and his partner Robert Bahna of Miami FL, Janice Lepine and her husband Robert Lepine of Woonsocket RI, Robert Witkowski and his wife Simone Witkowski of Cumberland RI and Joseph Witkowski and his husband Michael Kamer of Woonsocket RI; her grandson: Eric Lepine of Austin TX; her granddaughter: Karen Lepine of Woonsocket RI; also several nieces & nephews.

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. A Private Graveside Committal Service will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours.
