Mr. Kenneth C. Calabro, 78, of Milford MA, died Sunday (August 30, 2020) at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston MA after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Susan J. (Anderson)Calabro.
Kenneth was born in Boston MA, the son of the late Ernest J. and the late Carrol R. (Amendolare) Calabro. He attended Boston public schools, attending Boston Latin High School. He was a graduate of Dorchester High School and also attended Bryant& Stratton College in Boston MA.
Kenneth had long and successful career working in the transportation & shipping industry. He first was employed as a dispatcher at Robert Crocket Inc., located in Chelsea MA, a company which specialized in shipping oversized equipment throughout the United States. He later served as the terminal manager for J. F. Lomma Inc., located in Shrewsbury MA. And lastly was employed as sales manager for Rushco Services Inc., located in Oxford MA, another company that transports equipment of every size & shape throughout North America.
Kenneth was presently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Village at Silver Hill Condominiums, located here in Milford. He was also an avid Boston Red Sox fan and an avid Boston Bruins fan, who loved to play ice hockey in his youth.
Along with his beloved wife of twenty-two years & partner of forty-five years, he is survived by his three children: Kenneth C. Calabro Jr., and his wife Susan of Whitinsville MA, Jo-Anne M. Calabro of Pembroke MA and Stephen V. Calabro of Rockland MA; his seven grandchildren: Michael, Marion, Dorothy, William, Nicholas, Matthew and Sara Calabro; his sister: Pauline Calabro of Waltham MA; also several nieces & nephews and his beloved pet dog, “Sara”.
Kenneth was the grandfather of the late Ryan Calabro.
In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours.
