Mrs. Laura D. (Covino) Cimino, 84, of Milford MA died early Sunday morning (March 21, 2021) at the Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph R. Cimino, who died in 2010.
Mrs. Cimino was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Frank and the late Irene (Bellorini) Covino. She attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1954. She also attended the Rhode Island School of Design.
Mrs. Cimino was self-employed, working many years as a clothing designer, specializing in wedding dresses. She loved gardening, going to the beach and loved to snow ski with her late husband, Joseph. But most of all, she loved spending time with her beloved family, especially her granddaughters.
She is survived by her son: Richard J. “Rick” Cimino and his partner David M. Gabriel of Beverly MA; her daughter: Cheryl A., wife of David Pete of Hopkinton MA; her 2 granddaughters: Sophia Pete and Lily Pete of Hopkinton MA; also several nieces & nephews.
She was the beloved sister of the late Raymond Covino, the late John Covino, the late Louis Covino and the late Robert Covino.
Due to the COVID-19 gathering restrictions and the family’s overwhelming concern for the wellbeing of family members & friends a Private Funeral will be held at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. There are no visiting hours. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Graveside Committal Service on Wednesday (March 24th) at 11am in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Social distancing protocols & use of face masks will be required for all facets of the funeral services.
