Louis Tusino Obituary

Mr. Louis C. Tusino, 80, of East Douglas MA died Sunday (October 17, 2021) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness.

 

Lou was born in Milford MA the son of the late Michele and the late Rosemarie (Porrazzo) Tusino and had been raised by Vincenzo and Emma Porzio. He attended Milford public schools and was a member of the Milford High School Class of 1960.

 

Lou was first employed as a young man at the former Lisch Hat Shop located in Milford. Following a tour of duty in the US Navy from 1959 to 1961, which he was very proud of, he was employed at the General Motors assembly plant in Framingham MA.

 

Lou then served as a proud member of the Milford Police Department for over ten years. Following that he became involved with numerous business adventures including owning & operating Public Cleaners in Milford MA and the Milford Delivery Service. He later became the founding owner & operator of Westville Homes and Guaranteed Builders Inc.

 

Lou was a successful entrepreneur over the years, but never forgot the less fortunate, not afraid to lend a hand to those that needed assistance along the way.

 

He is survived by his 2 sons: James Tusino and his wife Susan of Seekonk MA and Robert Tusino of Milford MA; 2 grandsons: Benjamin Tusino and Anthony Tusino; his longtime companion: Catherine Olson and their adopted son: Robert Joseph Tusino of East Douglas MA; many nieces & nephews; also his former wife: Judith (Villani) Tusino of Milford MA. He was the father of an infant son, Christopher, who died shortly after birth.

 

 

 

He was the brother of the late Alfred Tusino; the late John Tusino, the late Ernest Tusino; the late Michael Tusino; the late Rose Tusino; the late Carol Valera; the late Loretta Collins; the late Joseph Tusino and the late Ann Tusino.

 

His funeral will be held Friday (October 22nd) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (UPPER CHURCH), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Thursday (October 21st) from 4pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Milford Regional Medical Center, c/o the Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation, 14 Prospect Street, Milford MA 01757.
