Louise Gerard Obituary

 

Mrs. Louise M. (Byron) Gerard, 88, of Milford MA died Monday (May 24, 2021) at her residence after an illness. She was the beloved wife of Alfred L. Gerard Sr.

 

Louise was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late William and the late Louise (Stanton) Byron. She attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School. She was employed for over 30 years as a telephone operator working for Verizon.

 

Louise was a lifelong resident of Milford MA and was an active  member of the Solid Rock Bible Baptist Church in Blackstone MA. She enjoyed camping & bike riding, but her favorite past-time was spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren.

 

Louise’s family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care afforded Louise during  her final days by Ashlee Crawford & Karly Speroni, as well as the dedicated hospice nurses from Salmon VNA & Hospice.

 

Along with her beloved husband, she is survived by her 3 sons: Alfred L. Gerard Jr. and his wife Janet of Sutton MA, Stephen P. Gerard and his wife Carol of Milford MA and David W. Gerard of Greenfield MA; her 8 grandchildren: Lauren Gerard, Colby Gerard, Ashlee Crawford, Eric Gerard, David Gerard, Matthew Gerard, Ryan Gerard & Nicholas Gerard; her 4 great grandchildren: Marissa Zaki, Angelina Zaki, Samuel Zaki & Brandon Crawford; her sister Margaret Alves of Woonsocket RI; also several nieces & nephews.

 

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. There will be no formal funeral services & no visiting hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.

 

In lieu of flowers, her family highly encourages memorial donations be made to The Solid Rock Bible Baptist Church, 214 Main Street, Blackstone MA 01504.
