Marc Henry Simmler

Marc H. “Goober” Simmler,  68, of Uxbridge MA passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Sandra A. (Roach) Simmler.

Marc was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Thomas Buckley and Dorothea Buckley. He was a graduate of King Phillip High School, Class of 1975.

Marc had been employed in the construction industry for over 30 years, working as a union laborer & superintendent for the Laborer’s Union Local #609 in Framingham MA.

Marc has been a resident of Uxbridge MA since the late 1980’s. Prior to that he resided in Norfolk MA.

Marc had many varied interests in his life, but his beloved wife, Sandra, the light of his life was the most important thing to him. He loved entertaining family & friends and cooking for them. He also loved snowmobiling and loved to ride his Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Sandra to the ocean for lobsters & steamers. He also loved working in his yard and tending the bird feeders.

Marc had a passion for anything that included a motor he was the original “motor head”. He was a drag racing enthusiast and loved working on anything with wheels. Marc was also an avid New England Patriots fan.  

Marc was a friend to everyone. A “Gentle Giant” who was patient & kind always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was genuinely a good man through and through who worked as hard as he loved.

Along with his beloved wife of 31 years, he is survived by his son,  Marc Simmler Jr. of Florida, his sister, Dianne Matros and her husband Michael of Norfolk MA; his niece, Crystal Buckley and her husband Joe Hamm of Medway MA; his nephew: Michael Matros Jr. of North Attleboro MA; his grandnephew, Joseph Hamm of Medway MA and his grandniece, Kennedy Hamm of Medway MA.

Funeral Services will be held Friday (February 6th) at 11:00AM at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. In accordance with his wishes cremation will follow. A Private Committal Service of his cremains will be held at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours will be held Thursday (February 5th) from 5pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
