Marcia Myers Obituary

Mrs. Marcia A. (Dee) Myers, 87, of Milford MA and formerly of Mendon MA died Wednesday morning (June 24, 2026) at Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles H. Myers who died in 2022.

Marcia was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Gerald M. Dee and the late Edith I. (Faenza) Dee. She attended Hopedale public schools and was a graduate of Hopedale High School.

Marcia was laid back and easygoing. However, she had a passion and intensity for competitive sports. She was an outstanding Center on her high school basketball team. It is chronicled that in a win against Medway High, Marcia scored 31 points almost equaling the 34 points scored by the entire Medway team (move over Redden). She also played goalie and was a dependable defensive force on her field hockey team.

Marcia worked locally in Mendon and Hopedale for most of her life including positions at the Draper Corporation, Westinghouse Corporation and as an administrative assistant for the Town of Mendon.

Outside of work, Marcia had various passions and hobbies. As a life-long Massachusetts resident, Marcia was greatly fond of Boston sports teams, including the Red Sox and the Celtics. Marcia also held a great love for horses, often riding and caring for them in her youth. In her later years, she enjoyed watching horse racing with her brother and sister-in-law. She was an avid bird watcher, and notably loved cardinals.

Marcia was talented, not only athletically, but creatively too. She enjoyed making ceramic sculptures that she would often gift to her closest friends and family. Using the handle “Dolsey Day”, Marcia spent many car rides on her CB radio chatting with nearby drivers long before cell-phones existed.

In her later years, she enjoyed spending her winters in Fort Myers, FL with her husband Charles. They would frequent Grapefruit League games and enjoyed the beach. Marcia also loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, whether it be a quick trip to Friendly’s or a day trip into the city.

Marcia is survived by her 2 Brothers: Gerald Dee and his wife Patricia of Uxbridge MA and John Dee of Hopedale MA; her nieces & nephews: Michael Dee, Pamela Rosado, Alexander Rosado, Jenna Rosado, Jace Rosado and Logan Rosado, as well as her Great-Great-Niece Juliette Rosado. Her best friend of many years: Pam Sheldon. Her 2 Step-Children: Deborah (Myers) Valentine and her husband Robert Valentine of Auburn MA and Charles Myers Jr. and his wife Jean Myers of Fitchburg MA; 5 Grandchildren: Amanda Nyhaug and her husband Brandon, Kaitlyn Valentine, Carissa Cassinelli, Jeffrey Valentine and Meghan Meisenheimer and her husband Scott; her 8 Great Grandchildren: Zachary Nyhaug, Owen Nyhaug, Emelia Nyhaug, JJ Cassinelli, Ethan Cassinelli, Calli Meisenheimer, Jacob Meisenheimer and Olivia Meisenheimer.
