Margaret M. (MacDonald) Griffith

Mrs. Margaret M. (MacDonald) Griffith, 96, of Milford MA died Tuesday (July 2, 2024) at Vantage Health & Rehabilitation in Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late George S. “Sam” Griffith who died in 2002.

Margaret was born in Boston MA, the daughter of the late Daniel MacDonald & Theresa (Glynn) MacDonald. She attended Hopkinton MA public schools as a young girl.

Margaret was first employed as a young woman at the former Threadmill, located in Hopkinton MA. Following her marriage to her late husband George she became a dedicated housewife and mother, a calling that she relished all her adult life.

Margaret loved to cook and she loved spending time with her beloved family members.

Margaret is survived by her 2 children: Valerie K. Knox and her longtime companion Joseph DiFronzo of Milford MA and William D. Griffith of Milford MA; her 2 grandchildren: Amy Wolf and her husband Mitchell Wolf of Milford MA and Adam Griffith and his wife Nicole of North Reading MA; her 4 great grandchildren: Gianna Griffith, Lillian Wolf, Gavin Griffith and Summer Griffith; her sister: Jesse Carlberg of Milford MA; also several nieces & nephews.

Margaret was the sister of the late Donald MacDonald; the late Francis MacDonald and the late Clement MacDonald.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday (July 9th) at 11:00am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in North Purchase Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Tuesday (July 9th) from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, prior to her Funeral Service.
