Marie Elaine (Borra) Johnson

Mrs. Marie E. (Borra) Johnson, 75, of Milford MA died Tuesday (April 1, 2025) at Vantage Health & Rehabilitation in Milford MA after a period of declining health.

Marie was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Hugo Borra and the late Elinor M. (Marelli) Borra. She attended Milford public schools as a young girl and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1967.

Marie was first employed as a young woman working as a waitress at the former Samson’s Restaurant in Hopkinton MA and at the former Sticky Wicket Restaurant in Hopkinton MA. She then was employed as the supervisor of the former Sears Surplus Store located in Milford MA. Following that she began her career as a medical billings clerk working at the Mendon offices of the VNA of Milford, and then later at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital, retiring in 2011.

Marie enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts, but she especially loved going camping with her family at King’s Campground located in Sutton MA and also planning her annual summer vacation with her family at Hampton Beach in NH. She also enjoyed cooking all kinds of meals for her beloved family.

In 2019 Marie became a resident of Vantage Health & Rehabilitation in Milford due to her medical issues with Parkinson’s Disease. While a resident there Marie enjoyed playing bingo, attending the religious services the facility offered, and participating in all the recreational activities that Vantage Health offered.

Marie is survived by her 3 children: Carin Dias, wife of Michael Dias of Milford MA, William P. Johnson Jr. and his wife Joanne of Silver Springs MD and Michael B. Johnson of Milford MA; her 3 grandchildren: Joseph M. Dias of Milford MA, Ryan P. Johnson of Silver Springs MD and Crimson M. Johnson of Leesburg VA; her 4 siblings: Linda, wife of Michael Milan of Uxbridge MA, Janice Griffith of Andover MA, Terese, wife of Roger Dolan of Milford MA and John J. Borra and his partner Angi Barish of Milford MA; also several nieces & nephews.

Her funeral will be held Saturday (April 5th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Friday (April 4th) from 5pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
