Marilyn M. (Hebert) Gaffney

Mrs. Marilyn M. (Hebert) Gaffney, 90, of Milford MA died Friday (February 4, 2022) at Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald R. Gaffney, who died in 1980.

Marilyn was born in Boston MA, the daughter of the late Oscar P. and the late Mary P. (Prendible) Hebert. She attended Boston public schools and was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Boston MA.

Marilyn had been employed for many years as a telephone operator for the former New England Telephone Company, working in Boston and in Milford.

Marilyn was a longtime resident of Milford and had been a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Milford. She was also a member of the New England Telephone Pioneers Club.

Marilyn is survived by her son: Richard Gaffney of Milford MA; her 5 grandchildren: Stephanie Gaffney, Randel Gaffney, Jeremy Gaffney, Bryan Gaffney and Kelsey Gaffney; also nieces & nephews.

Marilyn was the mother of the late Donald Gaffney Jr., who died in 2013 and the sister of the late Phillip Hebert and the late John “Jack” Hebert.

Private Funeral Services will be held at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA at the convenience of the family. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
