Mary Paulette (Sidloski) Porter

Mrs. Mary P. (Sidloski) Porter, 72, of Mendon MA died Sunday morning (May 9, 2021) at her residence after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Porter, who died in 1989.

Mary was born in Worcester MA, the daughter of the late William Z. and the late Marguerite D. (Garner) Sidloski. She was a graduate of UMASS-Amherst, Class of 1974. Mary had been employed for many years as a social worker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts working for the former Department of Social Services.

Mary was a longtime resident of Mendon MA and a member of the Mendon Unitarian-Universalist Church. She was also active at the Mendon Senior Center and had volunteered at the Milford Regional Medical Center.

Mary is survived her 2 children: Luke Porter of Westwood MA and Rachel Porter of Tucson AZ; her 2 granddaughters: Alice Porter of Westwood MA and Jemma Porter of Tucson AZ; her 3 siblings: Teresa Beschle and her husband Mark of Amherst NH, Eva Kendrew and her husband Paul of Norfolk MA and William Sidloski and his wife Cindy of Worcester MA; also her niece Anna Sidloski.

 Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Graveside Committal Service on Friday (May 14th) at 1PM in Quaker Cemetery, George Street in Mendon MA. There are no visiting hours. Social distancing protocols & use of face masks will be required for all facets of the funeral services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
