Mr. Michael S. Glennon, 61, of Milford MA died unexpectedly on Friday (December 20, 2024) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after being stricken at home. He was the beloved husband of Michelle (Rudman) Glennon.
Michael was born in Framingham MA, the son of the late George T. Glennon and the son of June (Costantino) Glennon. He first attended the former St. Mary’s Grammar School as a young boy. He later was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1981. He also attended Harvard University.
Michael was first employed at the former Coady Toyota car dealership located in Milford MA. He then worked for Laser Cartridge Plus located in Westborough/Southborough. Following that he was employed at Verizon, working in technical support.
Michael was also a veteran of the US Marine Corps, which he was very proud of and the reason why he was always interested in what “the Corps” was doing. He had served as a AD-J flight line mechanic while serving in the Marine Corps.
Michael had many interests in his life. He was an avid chess player; was also known to have a “green thumb” which led to interest in gardening & plants and he was an accomplished artist. Michael also was an animal lover of all kinds of animals, especially his pet birds & his pet dog. His Roman Catholic faith was also important to Michael.
Along with his beloved wife of 34 years, he is survived by his 5 daughters: Elizabeth M. Glennon of Milford MA, Katherine A. Glennon of California, Victoria K. Glennon-Hemker of Kentucky, Abigail G. Glennon of Milford MA & Sophia M. Glennon of Milford MA; 1 granddaughter: Sienna Hemker; his mother: June Glennon of Milford MA; his brother: George B. Glennon of Milford MA; his aunt: Dawnette Niro of Florida and several cousins.
In accordance with his wishes, a Private Graveside Committal Service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no funeral home visiting hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
