Naureen C. Alzerini

Naureen C. Alzerini, 90, of Yarmouthport MA, died Wednesday (March 30, 2022) in Harwich MA after a period of declining health.

Naureen was born and raised in Milford, MA; daughter of the late Olga Lancisi and Alfred “Rodney” Alzerini.  Naureen graduated from Milford High School Class of 1948. She worked for many years at Filene’s in Wellesley MA before moving to the Cape in 1988 and worked at Filene’s in the Cape Cod Mall where she earned many sales awards, repeat customers, and Diamond Stars with her retirement in 2006.

Naureen enjoyed travelling to many countries, but her love affair with Cape Cod began with spending many summer vacations with family and friends. She accomplished a life-long dream when moving permanently to Yarmouthport in the fall of 1988. There was nothing she enjoyed more than taking a ride to Bass River Beach to sit and watch the waves, the people, and the boats. The feel of the ocean breeze and the smell of salty air enriched her and the beauty of the Cape gave her comfort and peace.

She was a beloved friend, and inspiration, and a strong force of nature to all who had the privilege of knowing her.  Her integrity, kindness, compassion, and nurturing way of life will always be remembered by her endless list of loved ones who were touched by her life.

Her deepest belief was “to have friends who are important”, to stay involved in their lives, and to communicate daily or weekly.

She is survived by many cousins, including David Lancisi of Folsom CA, Frank Lancisi of Phoenix AZ, Vincent Lancisi of Baltimore MD and long-time friend Gerald Acker.

Anyone who knew Naureen was the beneficiary of her enormous heart.

In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A Private Committal Service has been held in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
