Phyllis Tarca Obituary

Mrs. Phyllis T. (Dimock) Tarca, 91, of Hopedale MA, died Sunday (May 19, 2024) at Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Aldo P. Tarca who died in 2019.

 

Phyllis was born in Cambridge MA, the daughter of the late Frederick Dimock and the late Hellen (Hennessey) Dimock. She attended Medway MA public schools, graduating from Medway High School, Class of 1950.

 

Phyllis was first employed as a young woman at GE-Telechron located in Ashland MA. She later worked part-time as an aide at the former Hopedale Gardens Nursing Home in Hopedale MA. Lastly, she was employed at Esterline-Angus Electronics located in Hopkinton MA.

 

Phyllis loved to do gardening, playing Bingo & was an avid participant in the Weight Watchers Program over the years.

 

Phyllis is survived by her 2 children: Edward Tarca and his wife Barbara of Hopkinton MA and Lisa McCormack and her husband John McCormack of Bolton MA; her 3 grandchildren: Andrew Tarca of California, Kara McCormack of Jersey City NJ and Colin McCormack of Boston MA; also several nieces & nephews.

 

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford MA, with Private Committal Services of her cremains, at the convenience of the family. There are no funeral home visiting hours.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, c/o Sacred Heart Rectory, 5 East Main Street, Milford MA.
