Mr. Ralph F. Archambault, 83, of Malvern PA and formerly of Mendon MA died Saturday evening (September 11, 2021) at his residence in Malvern PA surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Sandra F. (Castagnaro) Archambault who died in 2014.
Ralph was born in Cumberland RI, the son of the late Alfred J. and the late Violet (Anderson) Archambault. He was a graduate of Cumberland High School and attended Rhode Island Technical College. He also received his associate’s degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Ralph was first employed at International Telephone & Telegraph and them at First Controls Corporation. After twenty-six years as a field engineer, he retired in 2001 from Thermo Electron (formerly Moisture Systems Corporation).
Ralph has been a resident of Malvern PA since 2014. Prior to that he had resided in Mendon MA and Bellingham MA.
Ralph had been a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale MA, where he had served as a Eucharistic minister and also served as a member of the church’s Seder Committee.
Ralph had his amateur ham radio license and was also an expert “fix it man”. He loved crafts of all kinds, doing projects and above all else helping others.
Ralph is survived by his beloved daughter: Lynne Marie, wife of Charles Sanbe of Malvern PA; his granddaughter: Julia Sanbe of Malvern PA; his sister: June, wife of Richard Olivier of Cumberland RI; his sister-in-law: Barbara Batts of Milton MA; his brother-in-law & sister-in-law: John and Judy Turpin of Dublin OH; and countless numbers of nieces & nephews.
Ralph was the brother of the late Dorothy Boyd, Rose Kowal, Alice Tumidjaski, Bertha Harrison, Alfred Archambault, Robert Archambault, Violet O’Brien, Carl Archambault and Esther Guadagni.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday (September 18th) at 12 NOON in Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale MA. Burial will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery. A visiting hour will be held from 11am to 12 Noon at Sacred Heart Church, prior to his Funeral Mass. Due to the family’s concerns with COVID-19, the use of face masks will be required inside Sacred Heart Church.
