Raymond Zaccarino Obituary

Mr. Raymond A. “Zack” Zaccarino, 72, of Mendon MA died Monday evening (July 26, 2021) at the UMASS-Memorial Medical Center in Worcester MA after an illness. He was the beloved husband of Terece A. (Besozzi) Zaccarino.

 

Zack was born in Framingham MA, the son of the late Romano and the late Loretta (Schiappucci) Zaccarino. He was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1967 and also a graduate of the former NE Technical Institute.

He was a US Marine Corps veteran having served during the Viet Nam war.

 

Zack was first employed for O’Donnell Electric located in Milford; then Whalley Electric located in Framingham. He then was employed at J. M. Daley Electric & HVAC located in Milford and finally at the General Motors assembly plant in Framingham where he also worked as an electrician.

 

Zack was very proud of his military service and was a founding member & chairman of the Milford Vietnam Servicemen Killed in Action Memorial Fund. He was also a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America and the Disabled American Veterans.

 

Zack had been a resident of Mendon since 1974. He was an avid outdoorsman who was always concerned about wild life & conservation. He especially loved to go fishing & hunting, and was a member of the Maspenock Rod & Gun Club.

 

Along with his beloved wife of forty-nine years, he is survived by his 2 children: Matthew J. Zaccarino of Milford MA and Jenna M., wife of W. Taylor Moreno of Mendon MA; his 3 grandchildren: Gianna Elise Moreno, Austin “Zack” Moreno and Catalina Grace Moreno of Mendon MA; his sister: Ann L. Ferreira and her husband Antonio of Woonsocket RI; his sister-in-law: Sandra Iannitelli of Milford MA; and his nieces & nephews: Janet Ferreira of Woonsocket RI, Mark Costanza of Plainville MA, Kristin Payton of Blackstone MA, Fay Andreola of Holliston MA and John Iannitelli of Milford MA.

 

Zack was the brother-in-law of the late Joseph & Joanne (Besozzi) Costanza.

 

His funeral will be held Monday (August 2nd) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel Parish, 151 Mendon Street, Upton MA. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Sunday (August 1st) from 4pm to 6pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
