Richard A. Hanson

Mr. Richard A. Hanson, 88, of Mesa AZ and formerly of Milford MA died April 10, 2024 in Mesa AZ. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Eldridge) Hanson.

Richard was born in Whitehall WI and had resided in Mesa AZ these last few years.

Richard, known as “Old Soldier” was a proud veteran having served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict & the Vietnam War. He also had served  many years in the Massachusetts Army National Guard, including the unit based in Milford MA.

Along with his wife Donna, he is survived by his 3 daughters: Shiloh J. Ariel of Washington State, Sheila M. Hanson of North Carolina and Bridgette Koivu of Georgia; his 2step-son: Rick Hanson of North Carolina & Stephen Hanson of Massachusetts.; also numerous grandchildren and nieces & nephews.

Richard was pre-deceased by his wives: Rita (Cole) Hanson, Margaret “Peggy” (McNamara) Hanson & Estelle M. (McCall) Hanson.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his Graveside Committal Service, with Military Honors, on FRIDAY (October 24th) at 12 NOON in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cedar Street (Rte 85) in Milford MA.

Rest in Peace “Old Soldier”, you will be missed by all.
