Richard A. Simmons

Mr. Richard A. Simmons, 85, of Millville MA and formerly of Milford MA died unexpectedly on Wednesday (November 9, 2022) at his residence in Millville MA.

Richard was born in Newmarket NH, the son of the late Donald Simmons and the late Helen L. (Densmore) Simmons. He attended Milford public schools.

Richard was first employed as a young man at various shoe shops in the greater Milford area. He later worked as a truck driver at the former Bettinger Corporation located in Milford MA. Following that he was employed as a maintenance supervisor at The Groves Apartment complex located in Milford MA.

Richard was a veteran of the US Air Force.

Richard is survived by his 3 children: Robert Simmons of Apache Junction AZ, Roxanne Reynolds of Easley SC & Randy Simmons of Fountain Inn SC; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 2 nieces.

Richard was the father of the late Raymond Simmons; the late Richard Simmons & the late Rhonda Horton.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. A Private Committal of his cremains will be held at the convenience of the family. Relatives & friends are invited to extend their condolences to his family on Thursday (November 17th) from 5pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
