Robert Hutchins Medina Obituary

Mr. Robert A. Hutchins Medina, 33, of Milford MA died unexpectedly on Monday (May 15, 2023) at his residence. He was the husband of Elika J. Hutchins Medina of Marlborough MA.

 

Robert was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Robert A. Hutchins and the son of Kristin A. Micelotti. He first attended the Hopedale Elementary School as a young boy. He then attended Stacy Middle School in Milford MA and later attended Milford High School.

 

Robert was a hardworking man with a driven personality. He had been employed as a carpenter at Vin Gadoury Construction Inc. from 2015 to 2020.

 

Robert had originally been a resident of Hopedale MA from birth, until he and his mother moved to Milford MA. At adulthood Robert moved to Woonsocket RI in 2018. Then he moved to Marlborough MA in 2022. Lastly, before his untimely passing, he resided in Milford MA.

 

Robert took pride in being a member of the bowling community. He was a proud member of the bowling team “Deez Nuts” in the Saturday Nite Invitational Bowling League held by Walnut Hill Bowling in Woonsocket RI, from 2020 to 2023. Prior to that he was a member of the League since 2019. He was a frequent guest of the Bantam League at this bowling alley ever since he was a young boy.

 

Robert also enjoyed fishing with his brother Bryan; his nephew Aiden and his many friends.

 

Robert was always spending quality time with his family, visiting friends and enjoying his favorite movies and TV shows which were “Game of Thrones”, “True Blood” and anything Marvel made. Robert loved rollerblading, skating and sports. He spent his evenings watching sporting events, such as the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics.

 

Robert was also a deep lover of music. Some, but not all of his favorite musicians include Taking Back Sunday, The Used Brand New and Bullet For My Valentine.

 

Robert recently became a member of The Fight for Recovery Boxing held at Small Town Athletic Center partnered with Chris’s Corner Recovery Resource Center.

 

Along with his wife Elika of Marlborough MA, he is survived by his mother: Kristin A. Micelotti of Central City KY; his grandmother: Linda M. Slattery of Milford MA; his step-children: Steven T. Medina, Jacob E. Medina & Samantha E. Medina of Marlborough MA; his younger siblings: Katherine L. Hutchins of Upton MA, Joyce A. Nogler of Gloucester MA, Peyton A. Nogler of Milford MA, Bryan R. Gaffney of Upton MA, Owen M. Creamer McCarthy of Gloucester MA; his nephews: Aiden A. R. Gaffney of Upton MA & Oscar J. Creamer McCarthy of Gloucester MA; also his best friend: Kyle D. Bordeau of North Providence RI.

 

Robert was pre-deceased by his uncle: Craig R. Nogler and his best friend: Joshua T. Macdougal.

 

Relatives & friends are invited to extend their condolences to Robert’s family on Monday (May 22nd) from 9am to 11am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. A Private Funeral Service (for immediate family members only) will follow the visitation period. A Private Committal Service will then follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA.
