Robert Joseph Marelli

Mr. Robert J. Marelli, 91, of Hopedale MA died Monday (December 17, 2018) at Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Ninfa B. (Longo) Marelli.

Mr. Marelli was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Joseph and the late Adele (Cavicchi) Marelli. He was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1945.After graduating high school he enlisted in the US Navy, serving from 1945 to 1946.

Mr. Marelli was first employed as a machinist at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale MA. He later was employed for a number of years at West Hill Machinery, located in Mendon MA. He was also the owner & operator of the Maryell Manor Guest House for twenty-seven years, located in Milford MA.

Mr. Marelli was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale MA, and was a longtime member of the Italian-American Veterans Post #40 of Milford.

Along with being a beloved husband, he was a beloved father, grandfather & great grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all.

His funeral, with Military Honors, will be held Thursday (December 20th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Thursday (December 20th) from 8:30am to 9:30am, prior to his Funeral Mass.
