Robert J. Moore

Mr. Robert J. Moore, 89, of Milford MA died Sunday (October 23, 2022) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness. He was the beloved husband of the late F. Jayne (McGrath) Moore, who died in 1980.

Robert was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Joseph Moore and the late Mary W. (White) Moore. He attended Milford public schools.

Robert was first employed in the auto body repair industry, working at Milord Auto Body and at Joe Tex’s Auto Body. He later worked as a custodian at the former Miscoe Elementary School in Mendon MA, from which he retired.

Robert was an avid “car guy” and he loved to participate in various car shows including the annual Milford Lions Club car show.

Robert is survived by 3 nephews: Francis Lesack of Uxbridge MA, Gary Smith and his wife Chantal of Bellingham MA & Glenn Smith and his wife Shannon of Maryland; 2 nieces: Colleen Demers of CT & Jo Carnaroli and her husband Robert of Bellingham MA; also several grandnieces; grandnephews; great grandnieces & great grandnephews.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life & visiting hours will be held at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA on FRIDAY (November 4th) from 6pm to 8pm.
