Robert Weddeke

Mr. Robert Weddeke, 79, of Bellingham MA died Sunday morning (April 26, 2026) at his residence after an illness. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Jean (Doyno) Weddeke.

Robert was born in South Hempstead NY, the son of the late Frederick Weddeke and the late Philomena (Serzo) Weddeke. He attained his Associate’s Degree in agriculture from Farmingdale State College in New York.

Robert owned and operated a family landscaping business along with his older brother called Fred Weddeke Landscaping, located in Freeport Long Island NY. In later years he owned & operated his own trucking business.

Robert grew up in Wantagh Long Island NY and later resided in East Rockaway Long Island NY. More recently he had resided in Franklin MA and Bellingham MA.

Robert loved motorcycles and he enjoyed riding them, taking care of them & viewing them at various motocycle shows. He also enjoyed designing outdoor landscapes.

Along with his beloved wife of 49 years, he is survived by 3 children: Neal O. Weddeke and his wife Alicia of Bellingham MA, Joseph P. Weddeke and his wife Jillian of Bellingham MA and Sean M. Weddeke and his wife Alisha of Bellingham MA; his 5 grandchildren: Damien Weddeke, Aurora Weddeke, Lily Weddeke,  William Weddeke and Kyleigh Weddeke; his sister: Helen Zehentner of NY; also several nieces & nephews.

Robert was the brother of the late Benjamin; the late Frederick; the late Ann and the late Arnold.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday (May 5th) at 9am at St. Blaise Church, 1158 South Main Street, Bellingham MA. A Private Committal Service will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne MA. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
