Roger Edward Dolan

Mr. Roger E. Dolan, 77, of Milford MA died peacefully Friday (June 27, 2025) at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Terese (Borra) Dolan.

Roger was born in Boston MA the son of the late Robert E. Dolan and the late Rosina (Kronbichler) Dolan. He graduated from Newton North High School, Class of 1966, where he was  an accomplished sprinter and ran competitive track during his high school years. Following high school he attended Boston College.

Roger had been employed for 30 years at Data General/EMC Corporation, retiring in 2013 as a Senior IT Data Center Analyst. He had been a resident of Milford MA since 2016 and prior to that had resided in Whitinsville MA from 1994 to 2016.

Roger was an avid golfer, candlepin bowler  & auto racing enthusiast, as well as a fervent follower of all the Boston professional sports teams.

Roger’s family connection to Lake Winnipesaukee and summer home on Bear Island remained a passion throughout his life.

Along with his beloved wife of 31 years, he is survived by his sister-in-law Linda Milan and her husband Michael Milan of Uxbridge MA; his sister-in-law: Janice Griffith of Andover MA; his brother-in-law: John Borra  & Angi Barish of Hopedale MA. He is also survived by many cherished cousins who were like brothers & sisters to him;  also many beloved nieces & nephews, and many close friends.

Roger was the brother-in-law of the late Marie (Borra) Johnson.

Roger’s family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care he received from Salmon Hospice during the final days of his life.

His funeral will be held Wednesday (July 2nd) at 10am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his Graveside Committal Services on Thursday (July 3rd) at 11:30am at Holyhood Cemetery, 584 Heath Street, Chestnut Hill MA 02467. Visiting hours for Roger will be held Tuesday (July 1st) from 5pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
