Roger Lord Obituary

Mr. Roger D. Lord, 64, of Northbridge MA died Friday (July 20, 2018) at his residence after an illness.

 

Mr. Lord was born in Cambridge MA, the son of the late George S. Lord and the son of Jeannette (Powell) Lord of Hopedale MA. He was a graduate of Waltham Vocational High School.

 

Mr. Lord was a self-employed Auto Body Technician and had first been employed in California from 1971 to 1990. Upon returning to Massachusetts in 1991, he became employed in the family business, Lord & Son Autobody, located in Hopedale MA.

 

Mr. Lord had been a resident of Northbridge MA for the past six years. Prior to that he had resided in Millville MA and Whitinsville MA.

 

Mr. Lord was an avid “car guy” who was affiliated with several auto hot rod clubs in the local area. He frequently attended swap meets and was involved in building & repairing specialty hot rod projects. He was also a “classic car” enthusiast, painter & fabricator. He also enjoyed small pond fishing and ocean fishing.

 

Along with his beloved mother, he is survived by his 3 Children: Christina Lord of Huntington Beach CA, Christopher Roger Lord and his wife Briana of Long Beach CA and Kassandra Lord of Auburn MA;                    3 Grandchildren: Conrad Lord, Colette Lord and Cruz Lord of Long Beach CA; 3 Siblings: Wayne Lord and his wife Linda of Hopedale MA & their family; Diane, wife of Jim Kaufman of West Boylston MA & their family; Jennifer, wife of Jay Baker of Sharon MA & their family; his former wife: Aznive (Antablian) Lord of Huntington Beach CA; his companion: Karen Palmieri of Linwood MA; his Step-daughter: Angie Kinney of Northbridge MA; his Step-son: Scott Palmieri of South Grafton MA; 4 Step-grandchildren: Andrew Kinney, Eryk Kinney, Belle-Elizabeth LeClair and John-Henry Palmieri.

 

He is also survived by 3 Brothers-in-law: Harach Antablian & family of Richmond VA, Vic Antablian & family of Pasadena CA and Arman Antablian of Bell Flower CA; and 1 Sister-in-law: Lina Antablian of Playa del Ray FL.     

 

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
