Roger Stephen Orefice

Mr. Roger S. Orefice, 83, of Milford MA died Friday (May 31, 2024) at Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge MA after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Frances E. (Souza) Orefice.

Roger was born in Patterson NJ, the son of the late Anthony Orefice and the late Gloria (Assante) Orefice. He was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School in Bristol RI, Class of 1959. He was also a graduate of the RI School of Electronics located in Providence RI. He also graduated from Lowell University and Northeastern University.

Roger was first employed as an electrical engineer for 25 years, working for the RCA/Honeywell Corporation. He later worked for 35 years as a Certified Financial Planner, working for Ameriprise.

Roger grew up in Bristol RI and had been a resident of Milford MA since 1981. Prior to that he had resided in Bellingham MA for 13 years.

Roger enjoyed sitting on his home’s screen porch and also enjoyed rooting for the New England sports teams, including attending some of their games, especially with his granddaughter Mikayla. But his favorite past time was spending time with his beloved family members & his many friends.

Along with his beloved wife of 63 years, he is survived by his 2 daughters: Robin Pasciuto and her partner Greg Palmer of Milford MA and Debra Orefice and her partner Dino Tropeano of Paxton MA; his granddaughter: Mikayla Pasciuto and her partner Julie Gagnon of Providence RI; his brother: Anthony Orefice of Warren RI; his brother-in-law: Gilbert Guimond of Tiverton RI; also many nieces & nephews.

Roger was the brother of the late Peter Orefice and the late AnneMarie Guimond.

A Private Funeral Service will be held at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA at the convenience of the family. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
