Ronald Byron Obituary

 

Mr. Ronald T. Byron, 73, of Mendon MA, died Saturday (November 20, 2021) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness. He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Koehne) Byron.

 

Ronald was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Edward J. and the late Norma (Mazzini) Byron. He was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s Central Catholic High School, Class of 1966 and later studied accounting in college in Worcester MA.

 

Ronald was first employed as a young man at the former Milford Shoe Company. He then was employed at Mid-State Tool & Engineering. Following that he began his career as a cook/chef working in the kitchen at the Fontbonne Hall in Framingham MA and then later at the Milford Hospital.

 

Ronald was an avid sports fan of all different sports, but his favorite sport was basketball. He had volunteered as a young man as a basketball coach for the St. Mary’s CYC basketball team. He had also volunteered as a boy scout leader.

 

Along with his beloved wife of 50 years, he is survived by his 2 children: Christopher Byron and his wife Susan of Hopedale MA and Crystal Byron of Mendon MA; his granddaughter: Jenna Byron of Holliston MA; his brother: Dennis Byron and his wife Lorraine of Florida; also several nieces & nephews.

 

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. There are no visiting hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
