Rosemarie Maurer Obituary

Mrs. Rosemarie (McEnroy) Maurer, 76, of Bellingham MA died unexpectedly on Saturday (June 1, 2024) at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard P. Maurer, who died in 1999.

 

Rosemarie was born in Natick MA, the daughter of the late Joseph McEnroy and the late Rose Marie (Traniello) Mahoney. She was a graduate of Natick High School, Class of 1966. She later was a graduate of a beauty academy & an interior design program. She also attended multiple classes at the MassBay Community College.

 

Rosemarie was first employed as a young woman as a waitress working at the former Steak & Brew Restaurant and at the former Ground Round Restaurant located in Natick MA during the 1970’s & 1980’s. She also ran her own seasonal home business called “Rosemarie’s Floral Arrangements” from 1978 to 1982.Following that she was employed as an administrative assistant from 1985 to 1999, working at Mediplex Group, Glassgal Communications and Dictronics Inc. From 2000 to 2016 she was employed as a sales clerk at the Victoria Secret Store, Lowe’s, and Market Basket.

 

Rosemarie grew up in Natick MA. She then resided in Framingham MA for 15 years while raising her two boys. In 1982, upon her marriage to Richard, she moved to Needham MA. She had been a resident of Bellingham MA since 2003.

 

Rosemarie loved everything about the 1960’s & the 1970’s, especially the furniture, the fashion & the music of that era. She also loved gardening, making floral arrangements & dry flowers, Monet paintings, watching Al Pacino,  Robert DeNiro & Kevin Costner movies. Her favorite flowers were wisteria, peony & morning glory.

 

But her favorite past time of all was spending time with her sons, her grandchildren, and her great granddaughter with whom she loved to watch movies, dance & play games.

 

Rosemarie is survived by her 2 sons: Donald Wallace and his wife Tiffany of Bellingham MA and Richard Wallace and his wife Andrya of Berkley Heights NJ; her 5 grandchildren: Ashley Wallace of Natick MA, Erik Wallace of Bellingham MA, Evan Wallace of Charleston SC, Dylan Wallace of Fairfax VA and Samantha Wallace of Berkley Heights NJ; her great granddaughter: Kylee Wallace of Natick MA; also several nieces & nephews.

 

Rosemarie was the sister of the late Donna Valentine.

 

A Private Committal Service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne MA at the convenience of the family. There are no funeral home visiting hours. 

 

Relatives & friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her Life on TUESDAY (June 11th) at 1:00PM at Restaurant 45, 45 Milford Street (Rte 109) in Medway MA.
