Sadie Manoogian

Sadie Manoogian, 84, of Milford MA died Thursday (October 26, 2023) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness.

Sadie was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Margos Manoogian and the late Arusiak (Barsamian) Manoogian. She attended Milford public schools as a young girl and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1958. She was also a graduate of Ollis Beauty Academy located in Worcester MA.

Sadie was first employed as a young woman as a hairdresser at the hair salon located in the Gillcrist Department Store located in Framingham MA. She then was employed as a hairdresser at Dellaria Hair Salon, located on Main Street in Milford MA, a salon that she eventually purchased and operated on her own under the name of Sartee's Coiffures.

Sadie was a lifelong resident of Milford MA and was a member of the Red Hat Society and a member of the Milford Senior Center. She loved her trips to the casino for gambling, enjoyed shopping, and going out to dinner at various restaurants with her family members & friends.

Sadie is survived by her brother: Manoog “Mike” Manoogian of Milford MA; her niece: Melanie Manoogian Figueroa and her husband Rock of Milford MA; her grandnieces & grandnephews: Nicolas, Alicia, Sofia & Alexander; also several cousins. Sadie was pre-deceased by her sister, Alice Manoogian.

Her funeral will be held Saturday (November 4th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30am at the Soorp Asdvadzin Armenian Apostolic Church, 315 Church Street, Whitinsville MA. Burial will follow in Vernon Grove Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Friday (November 3rd) from 5pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
