Sally Allen Vraibel Obituary

Mrs. Sally S. (Willett)  Allen Vraibel, 84, of Hopedale MA, died early Sunday morning (July 19, 2020) at Blaire House of Milford surrounded by her loved ones after a short period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul W. Vraibel, who died in 2018.

Sally was born in Brockton MA, the daughter of the late Stuart S. and the late Frances (O’Malley) Willett. She attended Brockton public schools and was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1954. She also attended Mount Ida College.

Sally was first employed as a young woman at the former Edison Electric Light Company. She then became a devoted housewife and mother who enjoyed being a stay at home mother, dedicated to raising her four children. Later in life she was employed as a sales manager at the former Field’s Hosiery, located in Brockton MA.

Sally was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Brockton MA. She loved to spend time at the beach, especially while residing in Florida from 1986 to 1999.

Sally was a relaxed, patient person with a good sense of humor and appreciated life’s simple things. She loved spending time with her children taking trips to the beach, going out to dinner and she was always up for an ice cream. She really enjoyed reading and playing board games with her son Bobby, who was the light of her life.

When the kids were grown she couldn’t wait for a Friday night to go out dancing with her best friend Judy. That’s how she met her late husband Paul and they spent the next thirty-eight years together. They both started traveling and eventually moved to Florida to enjoy the sun and beaches. Sally and Paul missed Massachusetts and they moved back and settled in Bourne MA.

Sally’s family would like to thank the staff at Blaire House of Milford for their compassionate care and involvement in Sally’s wellbeing during her residency there. She thought of them as her friend and loved them all. The family would also like to thank New England Hospice for their care of Sally in her final days.

Sally is survived by her three daughters: Susan Allen, Sandra Geloran and Sally Glenn; her four grandchildren: Robert and Jami Riley, Kellie and Chris Glenn; her sister: Carole Lund; also several nieces & nephews.

Sally was the mother of the late Bobby Allen and the grandmother of the late Joshua Geloran.
