Sandra Ellen (York) Parker

Mrs. Sandra E. (York) Parker, 82, of Milford MA died Friday evening (December 20, 2024) at her residence after an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Parker who died in 2021.

Sandra was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late George W. York Sr. and the late Viola (Thurber) York. She attended Mendon public schools as a young girl, graduating from Mendon High School, Class of 1960.

Sandra was first employed at the former Stylon Corporation located in Milford MA. Following that she was employed at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale MA. Lastly, she was employed for many years as a sales clerk at the former K-Mart Store located in Milford MA.

Sandra had spent her early years residing in Mendon MA and had been a resident of Milford MA for the past 59 years. She was an active member of the Milford Senior Center and enjoyed participating in the center’s activities.

Sandra is survived by her 2 children: John J. Parker Jr. and his wife Debbie of Bellingham MA & Karen A. Coakley and her husband Jimmy Coakley of Medway MA; her grandson: Hunter Parker of Bellingham MA; her 2 siblings: Frances Ansell of Scottdale PA and Bette Cimino, wife of Salvatore Cimino of Milford MA; also several nieces & nephews.

Sandra was the sister of the late George W. York Jr.; the late Linda Redden and the late Barbara Provost.

Her funeral will be held Saturday (December 28th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Saturday morning (December 28th) from 9:30am  to 10:30am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, prior to her Funeral Mass.
