Sandra Ann (Moore) Smith

Mrs. Sandra A. (Moore) Smith, 77, of Bellingham MA died unexpectedly on Monday (January 11, 2021) at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late George S. Smith who died in 1998 and the beloved mother of the late Gegg S. Smith, who died in 1998.

Sandra was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Mary (White) Moore. She attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1961. She also was a graduate of Dean Junior College where she obtained a degree in early childhood education.

Sandra was first employed for the Bellingham public school system. She later worked at the Pine Acres Country Day School located in Franklin MA and at Mother Hubbard Pre-School located in Milford. Lastly, she was employed at the Hockomock YMCA Early Childhood Center in Franklin MA.

Sandra had been a resident of Bellingham MA since 1968. As a devoted mother she had volunteered at the Bellingham PTA, and as a cub scout assistant den mother.

Sandra is survived by her 2 sons: Gary S. Smith of Bellingham MA and Glenn S. Smith and his wife Shannon of Gambrills MD; her 2 granddaughters: Emma Smith and Charlotte Smith; her brother: Robert J. Moore of Milford MA; her niece & nephew: Robert and Jo Carnaroli of Bellingham MA and their children.

Due to the COVID-19 gathering restrictions and the family’s concern for the wellbeing of family members & friends a Private Funeral Service will be held at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. Social distancing protocols & use of face masks will be required for all facets of the funeral services.
