Mrs. Sharon L. (Cunningham) Garber, 86, of Burlington MA died Wednesday (April 15, 2026) at the Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Allen Garber.
Sharon was born in Cambridge MA, the daughter of the late Ivor Cunningham and the late Dorothy (Bowman) Cunningham. She was a graduate of Watertown High School, Class of 1958.
Sharon had been employed for 40 years as an office worker at Little Brown & Company located Boston MA, from 1970 to 2010. She grew up in Watertown MA and had been a resident of Burlington MA from 1960 to 2023.
Sharon loved sewing, baking, crocheting and taking long walks. But her favorite past time was spending time with her beloved family members, especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren
Sharon is survived by her daughter: Deborah Deforest and her husband John Deforest of Bellingham MA; her son: Michael Garber of Taunton MA; her granddaughters: Kelly Gordon and her husband Adam Gordon of Rehoboth MA, Jessica Schlicting of Brighton MA and Samantha Pappadopoulos and her husband Kevin Pappadopoulos ofAttleboro MA; her great grandchildren: Cole & Casey Gordon of Rehoboth MA, Dean & Emra Pappadopulos of Attleboro MA; also her beloved pet dog & furry granddaughter “Ana Mae” of Bellingham MA.
Sharon was the mother of the late Richard Garber of Taunton MA.
In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. There are no funeral services.
