Mrs. Sherry Lyn (Marques) Falvey, 60, of Northbridge MA died Saturday (September 3, 2022) at the Milford Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Milford Police Chief James F. Falvey.
Sherry was the daughter of the late Daniel Marques and the daughter of Barbara M. (Leland) Marques of Whitinsville MA.
Sherry was a graduate of Nipmuc Regional High School, Class of 1980. She was a devoted wife and mother during her early adult life, dedicated to raising her family. She later worked for Catholic Charities as a personal care assistant for the past 12 years, primarily in the Whitinsville, Uxbridge & Upton area.
Sherry loved writing, knitting, cooking, gardening and care giving. She was also an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Sherry’s faith was very important to her, and she loved attending church services. But her favorite past time was spending time with her beloved family members, especially her grandchildren.
Along with her beloved husband of 38 years & with whom she had spent the last 42 years, she is survived by her mother; her 5 children: James Daniel Falvey and his wife Rebecca of Plainfield CT, Ashley Lyn Falvey of Whitinsville MA, Northbridge Police Officer Ryan James Falvey and his wife Jennifer of Northbridge MA, Amanda Nicole Falvey and her fiance Jared Wooster of Whitinsville MA & Shannon Lyn Falvey of Northbridge MA; her grandchildren: Parker James Falvey of Whitinsville MA, Charlie Joy Falvey of Northbridge MA, Teigan Nicole Wooster of Whitinsville MA, Madeline James Falvey of Northbridge MA & soon to be born Camille Rose Falvey of Plainfield CT; also her sister: Deborah, wife of Donald Genier of Killingly CT; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews.
Sherry was pre-deceased by her brother & best friend: Stevie Marques of Rochester NH and her brother: Daniel Marques of Arizona.
Her funeral will be held Thursday (September 8th) at 8:30am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Peter Parish, 39 Church Avenue, Northbridge MA. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton MA. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday (September 7th) from 5pm to 8pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
Sherry had requested that her funeral services be a “Celebration of her Life” and not a sad occasion, therefore her family asks you to consider wearing white to her funeral services.
