Mrs. Shirley (Rubenstein) Greenberg, 87, of Milford MA died Sunday morning (August 14, 2022) at Benchmark Senior Living at Forge Hill in Franklin MA after a period of declining health.
Shirley was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late David and the late Ruth (Glatky) Rubenstein. She attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School. She also was a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston MA.
Shirley was first employed as a young woman in the family owned business, Rubenstein Electric. She later worked for many years as a patient account representative at the Milford Regional Medical Center for 41 years.
Shirley was a lifelong resident of Milford MA and was one of the twenty-five founding members of The Living With The Ribbon Foundation.
Shirley is survived by her 3 children: Alan Greenberg and his wife Kim of Mendon MA, Phillip Greenberg and his wife Valerie of Florida & Randi Harvey and her husband Jeffrey Harvey of Millville MA; her 8 grandchildren: Lindsey Greenberg, MacKenzie Greenberg & Morgan Greenberg of Mendon MA, Danielle Harvey & Andrew Harvey of Millville MA and David Greenberg, Hannah Greenberg & Nathan Greenberg of Florida; her 2 siblings: Elaine Streger of Florida & Harold Rubenstein and his wife Rose of Chelmsford MA; also her brother-in-law: Robert Siegel.
Shirley was the sister of the late Norma Siegel and sister-in-law of the late Edward Streger.
In accordance with her wishes a Private Funeral will be held from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Private Graveside Committal Service at Sharon Memorial Park in Sharon MA. There are no visiting hours.
