Thomas Glennon Obituary

Mr. Thomas  E.  Glennon,  84, of Milford MA died Saturday (January 29, 2022) at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester MA after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Veronica M. (Fornaciari) Glennon.

 

Thomas was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Edward R. and the late Mary R. (Smith) Glennon. He attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1955.

 

Thomas was a US Army veteran having served at Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington state.

 

Thomas was first employed as a young man at Raytheon Corporation and then later as a data base analyst at Factory Mutual Insurance Company, known as FM Global.

 

Thomas was a lifelong resident of Milford and a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

 

Thomas was an avid sports fan and loved watching all of the local sports teams. He also liked working out at the gym and loved to travel. But his favorite past-time was spending time with his beloved family, especially his grandson.

 

Along with his beloved wife of sixty years, he is survived by his 2 sons: Edward T. Glennon and his wife Kelly of Auburn MA and Christopher M. Glennon and his wife Laurie of Bellingham MA; his grandson: Sean Glennon of Bellingham MA; and several nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Ellen Perna.

 

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. His funeral will be held Friday (February 11th) at 9AM from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Thursday (February 10th) from 5pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home. Burial of his cremains will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association, New England Offices, 260 Cochituate Road, Suite #200, Framingham MA 01701.

 

Due to COVID-19 and the family’s concern for the wellbeing of everyone, face masks will be required for all facets of the funeral services.
