Todd Erickson Obituary

Mr. Todd R. Erickson, 53, of Milford MA, died Friday (August 13, 2021) at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Deborah (Creamer) Erickson.

 

Todd was born in Milford MA, the son of Robert Erickson of Hopedale MA and the son of the late Kathleen M. (Collins) Erickson. He attended Hopedale public schools, graduating from Hopedale High School, Class of 1986.

 

Upon graduating from high school, Todd served four years in the US Marine Corps. Todd was first employed at the Carl Eden Landscaping Company. He later was employed as a security guard at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale MA, along with a volunteer member of the Hopedale Fire Department. He was also  employed at the Hopedale DPW. From 1997  until recently, he was employed at the Bellingham DPW, working as  head mechanic. It was there that he met many wonderful people who became like family to him.

 

Todd was an amazing father who enjoyed spending time with his two daughters Katie and Mckenzie, teaching them many life lessons. He will always be remembered as a very kind soul who was always willing to lend others a helping hand.

 

Todd enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his two dogs Kira & Pickles". However, his favorite past-time was spending time with his family.

 

 

 

Todd was very proud of his military service in the US Marine Corps and served overseas during the Gulf War. For the past few years he was also a dedicated volunteer at Project New Hope of Worcester MA, where he helped veterans in need. This was an organization he cared about deeply..

 

Along with his beloved wife, he is survived by his devoted daughters: Katie M. Erickson & Mckenzie R. Erickson of Milford MA; his loving father: Robert Erickson of Hopedale MA; his sister: Kelly M. Santoro of Hopedale MA; his brother: Jamie E. Erickson and his wife Kimberly of Northbridge MA; his niece: Della Erickson; his nephew: Ian Erickson; his father-in-law: Joseph Creamer  and sister-in-law Michele Creamer, both of Milford MA; his brother-in-law: Richard Santoro; also many aunts, uncles & cousins.

 

Todd was the son-in-law of the late Marie R. Creamer.

 

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. A Private Committal Service, with Military Honors, will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon MA at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
