Victor Verdolino Obituary

Mr. Victor J. Verdolino, 91, of Westborough MA and formerly of Sandwich NH  and Falmouth MA died Wednesday (May 8, 2019) at Beaumont Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in Westborough MA after a period of declining health and complications due to Alzheimer’s Disease.

Victor was born in Worcester MA, the son of the late Modesto and the late Vita F. (Cuccaro) Verdolino. He was a graduate of Commerce High School, Class of 1945. He also attended Clark University. He raised his family in Framingham before retiring to Falmouth MA in the 1980s.

Victor was a WW II US Navy veteran, serving as soon as he came of age, from 1945 to 1946.

As a young man, Victor was first employed as a sound engineer for various radio stations, including WAAB in Worcester MA. He later was employed by Harvey Wells Electronics in Southbridge  MA and subsequently for many years as a sales representative for Gerber Sales Corporation in Waltham MA.

A first generation Italian-American and inveterate storyteller, Victor was a loving and proud son and brother, father and father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather, imparting much wisdom to all. A brilliant man, he designed & built three homes including his last two residences in Falmouth MA and Sandwich NH. He was an avid gardener and loved to “tinker” with various projects, often fixing the “unfixable”.  He also enjoyed playing the organ at his home, which he played by ear. During his time in New Hampshire, he enthusiastically volunteered as a visiting Caregiver, driving elderly homebound patients to medical visits, until he was unable to do so himself. He was the ultimate gentleman and was much loved by the rehabilitative caregivers during his time in Westborough.

Victor is survived by three sons: David Verdolino and his fiancée  Brenda Reishus of Concord MA, James Verdolino and his wife Nancy of Boston MA and Robert Verdolino and Monique Mazzone of Worcester MA; six grandchildren: Daniel Verdolino of Andover MA, Christine Verdolino of Medway MA, Katharine Pierce of Hopedale MA, Elizabeth Verdolino of Attleboro MA, John Verdolino of Hudson MA and Madeleine Verdolino of Medway MA; great grandchildren: Lukas and  Audrey Brannigan, Alex Verdolino, James, Thomas, and Colette Pierce, and soon another baby girl; also several nieces & nephews.

Victor was brother to the late Anita Marsello of Worcester MA and the late Emma Blanchard of Ridley Park PA.
