Viola Catherine (Allegrezza) Barsanti

Mrs. Viola C. (Allegrezza) Barsanti, 106, of Milford MA died Thursday (March 19, 2026) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur C. Barsanti who died in 1978.

Viola was born in Lowell MA, the daughter of the late  Giuseppi Allegrezza and the late Vilellma (Baldelli) Allegrezza. She attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1938.

Viola was first a devoted housewife & mother and later in life was employed for many years at Telechron Corporation in Ashland MA.

Viola was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford MA, and also a member of the church’s choir.

Viola loved gardening, as well as cooking & baking. She is known for her thrice, her fried chicken cutlets, her blueberry muffins and her apple pie. One of her favorite past times was taking care of her beloved grandchildren & great grandchildren and was known to her family and all her friends as “Noni Vi”.

Viola is survived by her daughter: Corrine A. Iacovelli and her husband Anthony Iacovelli of Mendon MA; her 3 grandchildren: Maria Iacovelli of Uxbridge MA, Anthony Iacovelli Jr. and his wife Deanna of Northbridge MA and Paul Iacovelli and his companion Dawn Marshall of Northbridge MA; her great grandchildren: Michael, Arianna, Emily, Mark, Joshua, Ciara and Myah; also several nieces & nephews.

Viola was the mother of the late Arthur C. Barsanti Jr.; the grandmother of the late Mark Iacovelli; and the sister of the late Louise Rivernider & the late Guido Allegrezza.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday (March 24th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Tuesday morning (March 24th) from 9:30am to 10:30am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, prior to her Funeral Mass.
