Mrs. Violet L. (Brillon) Benoit, 81, of Milford MA, died Friday (December 28, 2018) at Blaire House of Milford after a period of declining health.
Violet was born in Woonsocket RI, the daughter of the late Alphonse and the late Aldea (Varieur) Brillon and attended school in Woonsocket RI.
Violet was first employed as a waitress at numerous restaurants in the greater Milford & Woonsocket area. She later worked at Data General Corporation in Westboro MA and finally as a home health aide with the VNA.
Violet was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford MA. Violet was very proud of her involvement with Alcoholics Anonymous and how they helped her with her struggles and continued her involvement by helping others through their own struggles. She also loved to play cribbage and listening to music.
Violet is survived by 1 Son: Brian Benoit and his wife Lia of Dracut MA; 4 Granddaughters; 1 Sister: Julie Frechette of Florida; 2 Brothers: Marcel H. Brillon and Roland R. Brillon of Woonsocket RI; many nephews & nieces, including Donna Costa of Warwick RI; and her longtime friend: Patty White of Milford MA.
Violet was the mother of the late Bruce Benoit; and the sister of the late Eugene Brillon and the late Raymond Brillon.
In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday (January 26th) at 10am in the Lower Chapel of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial of her cremains will follow in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery in Bellingham MA. There are no visiting hours.
